Liz Peace spent the early part of her career in Government within the Ministry of Defence, working across various roles including nuclear weapon accident planning and the political aspects of land management and planning.

She was instrumental in the creation of QinetiQ plc in 2001, where she also served as the director of communications and external affairs. Liz then transitioned to the private sector, becoming Chief Executive of the British Property Federation, where she played a pivotal role in establishing the UK’s Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) structure and contributed significantly to planning reform.

Liz now has a non-executive portfolio career primarily focused on public sector and real estate, including roles with Howard de Walden Estates, Greencore Homes, AEW UK REIT, University of Cambridge and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. She has chaired the Government Property Agency and, more recently, the Greater London Authority’s Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation.

Liz was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire in HM The Queen’s 2008 New Year Honours for her services to the property industry.
