Our story to the here and now
Colm Lauder and Andrew Teacher worked together at IPD, which was later acquired by MSCI. Prior to this, Lauder studied Land Economy at Cambridge and Dublin, and worked as a surveyor at DTZ (now Cushman & Wakefield).
Teacher spent five years alongside Liz Peace elevating the industry’s profile at the BPF, building relationships with Government, media, investors and developers.
Lauder then built and led the real estate investment banking team at Goodbody. He supported fundraising, led roadshows and advised boards and investors of major listed and private companies.
Teacher founded Blackstock Consulting in 2012, acting as a retained advisor to a varied client base including the Church Commissioners, Cadogan, and M&G, to the likes of Apache, MARK, Moorfield, Orion, TDR and dozens more. He sold Blackstock in 2022 to Montfort, becoming MD.
Working with institutions like Blackstone, BGO, Harrison Street, Hermes, L&G, Macquarie and M3 Capital, Teacher played a key role in establishing operational real estate, notably in build-to-rent, PBSA and life sciences. Teacher also advises John Lewis Partnership on its BTR strategy.
Lauder and Teacher are regularly cited by mainstream media and leverage their extensive profiles by acting as trusted advisors to a wealth of high-profile clients and discrete family offices.
